Family and Matrimonial Care proceedings Where a local authority is considering whether to take care proceedings in respect of a child, we can assist with preliminary advice prior to the issue of proceedings for example at child protection conferences. Once proceedings have been issued the parents are usually eligible for public funding regardless of their means and we can assist in applying for public funding. We have extensive experience in advising both fathers and mothers in connection with care proceedings as well as extended family members. We also act regularly for the child, through their Children’s Guardian, to ensure that they have a voice in care proceedings.
