Accidents Abroad and on Holiday: We all know that illness or an accident abroad can ruin everything during a holiday and beyond. If you have been blighted by holiday illness or injury, we will often be able to secure compensation for you. Circumstances can vary but the most common situations are listed below.

• Road Traffic Accidents Abroad
  If you have been involved in a road traffic accident abroad, whether as a driver, passenger or pedestrian you may be able to claim compensation.
  
  Depending on the circumstances it may be possible for you to bring a claim in the UK. For example the 4th European Motor Directive allows you to make a claim in the UK if you are injured in another EU country by a vehicle insured in an EU country. The claim is brought directly against the driver’s insurers or their claims representatives in the UK.
  
  In other cases, claims may be made abroad, for example against the driver or the insurer of the vehicle. In some countries such as France, passengers, pedestrians and cyclists may have an automatic right to claim compensation for a road traffic accident, even when no one is at fault.

• Accidents whilst Working Abroad
